2017 Audi Q3 The Perfect Reflection of German Class

2017 Audi Q3 might be the smallest utility vehicle from the German Automaker, but it sure is mighty. Audi is set to roll out this car with a revamped power-packed performance which is sure to leave a mark in the sub-compact crossover segment.

2017 Q3 borrows its new styling from Audi Q5 and looks somewhat similar to Fiat 500X. This new model includes three trims; Prestige, Premium and Premium Plus.

Engine and Performance

Audi’s new Q3 uses a 2.0-liter inline 4-cylinder engine which produces 207 lb-ft of torque at 1,700 RPM and 200 HP of power at 1,500 RPM. A 6 speed Tiptronic automatic transmission will be paired with this mill, and there are options for both front wheel drive and Quattro all-wheel drive.

No further engine options will be available. This standard gasoline unit will deliver a fuel economy of 20 mpg city, 29 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined for the front-wheel model.

These figures drop down to 20/28/23 mpg respectively in city/highway/combined for AWD versions. With this engine, 2017 Audi Q3 can take a sprint of 0 to 60 mph in less than 7.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of around 130 mph.

Safety Features

Almost all Audi vehicles incorporate class-leading safety tech, and this 2017 Q3 is no exception. Some of the standard ones include:

  • Side Impact Beams
  • Electronic Stability Control
  • Roll Stability Control
  • Airbag Occupancy Sensor
  • SIDEGUARD curtain (1st and 2nd-row airbags)
  • Low Tire Pressure Warning
  • Front and Rear Parking Sensors

Going by the recent trends, blind-spot monitoring and pedestrian control may be available as optional packages.

The design of 2017 Audi Q3 is a combination of A3 and Q5 as it has got that quirky brawny stance. A typical crossover styling is somewhat suggestive, going by its roof-length, and this perfectly blends with the ongoing market trends.

In its front fascia, the revised signature grille dips low and is flanked by Audi’s signature sharp headlights. The air intakes are relatively larger this time and cover much of the front bumper. According to Audi officials, this 2017 Q3 has a coupe-like roofline which complements the gentle sculpting at the sill.

Exterior color options to be sold are Mythos Black Metallic, Florett Silver Metallic, Misano Red Pearl Effect, Glacier White Metallic, Brilliant Black, Monsoon Gray Metallic, Cortina White and several others.
