Buick has certainly made peace by finally filling their gap in crossover SUV line-up with the new 2017 Buick Envision. This 5-seat SUV is also the company’s first mainstream vehicle to be assembled in China and exported to the US.
According to what the Buick officials have claimed, this new entry-level model plays a great role in prioritizing the company’s crossover SUV line-up. Offered in almost 4 trims levels – Essence, Preferred, Premium I, and 2017 Buick Envision Premium II, this model is squaring off against segment’s big-time players like Acura RDX, Nissan Murano and Lexus RX.
Under the Hood
The overall drive and performance of Buick Envision 2017 is focused towards an indulging ride and therefore doesn’t excel on cornering. Buick has used a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine which churns out a power of 197 HP at 6,300 and a torque of almost 192 lb-ft at 4,400 RPM. Considering the impressive 3,800 towing capacity of this engine, its EPA rating that goes 22 mpg city/ 29 highway/ and 25 mpg combined is quite impressive.
