The new 2017 Mazda CX-5 is not an overture, but it sure does highlight the prominence of its class – luxury SUV. This model rides on the same wheelbase as the 2013-2016 models and certainly doesn’t look a whole different than the outgoing one.

Exterior and Interior
The exterior design hasn’t radically changed, though this 2017 Mazda CX-5 is dressed with deeply stamped curves and new chrome touches. These new add-ons (changes) aside, this model still retains its handsome silhouette which also means that the overall dimensions haven’t changed.
By the numbers, this new Mazda CX-5 is 66.2 inches high, 72.5 inches wide, 179.1 inches long and rides on a 106.3-inch wheelbase. The grille wears some changes and arguably looks like the one on Mazda CX-9.
Inside, the 2017 Mazda CX-5 interior cabin has received a more luxurious treatment. The center console is high and wears premium highlights on higher trims. What’s radically improved is the rear seats as they now feature lower seat cushions, reclining, better shaping and optional heating function.
