New Improved Powertrain Specs

This range of models comes with only one engine which is simply modified further for improved performance. The 2017 Porsche Cayenne engine is as always a 3.6-liter V6 engine with Direct Injection. Maximum output is 300 HP at 6,300 rpm and torque is at 295 lb-ft. at 3,000 rpm.

This engine is known for its quick responses making for a strong city drive. Torque-dip is minimal even though this is a naturally aspirated model. The new 2017 model comes with an engine which has a 5% boost in all figures.

Unlike the base and Platinum trim, the S trim engine comes with a Porsche racy twin-turbo setup along with intercoolers which hunk up the specs to 420 HP at 6,000 rpm and 406 lb-ft of torque at 1,350. And this low-ranging torque makes for rampant drive.

Both these engines come with Porsche’s marvelous 8-Speed Automatic Tiptronic S transmission. AWD is compulsory for all of these models and Porsche presents RWD as optional. As again, a performance boost is obvious.
