Cadillac Escalade is basically flaunting off of world-class luxury and segment-topping performance. This full-size SUV boasts a boxy exterior with a top-notch styling and utmost comfort in the interior cabin. Now, this model is entering a new generation as 2018 Cadillac Escalade to put out a stiff competition against the likes of Infiniti QX80, Lexus LX 570 and Land Rover Range Rover.
This upcoming Cadillac Escalade 2018 is retaining the 6.2L V8 engine which will pair up with an 8-speed automatic transmission system. This engine is to undergo revisions and integrate features like cylinder deactivation and direct fuel injection. Output figures are expected to reachup to 464 lb-ft torque and 430 hp.
Similarly, fuel economy will stay in around 17 mpg in city, 24 mpg on highways and 19 mpg on a combined scale. Max towing capacity will be rated at around 7,300 pounds and despite it, 0 to 60 mph acceleration is expected to take 6 seconds or less.
2018 Cadillac Escalade Chassis
One of the brawniest factors of Cadillac Escalade is that it incorporates a separate truck chassis which is not usually the case in most full-size SUVs. The suspension system will receive tuning too and the Magnetic Ride Control dampers will come standard.
Experts even predict that the rear suspension will get ball joints for independent movement while integrating a stabilizer bar for superior vehicle stability. All in all, this new-gen Cadillac Escalade should put out a smooth driving experience.
Cadillac Escalade 2018 will look much like its predecessor with just subtle changes on the exterior styling. Up front, the headlights will retain the signature vertical layout with multi-clusters of LEDs. Similarly, the LED turn signals will have an oblong vertical layout.
The grille will get heavier chrome accents and will hold a bigger badge. Down below, the fog light clusters will have an L-shaped layout. The front bumper will wear clean plastic cladding which will continue as side skirts too.
2018 Cadillac Escalade is also set to improve with comfort and sophistication on the interior cabin. The dashboard, center console and door panels will wear hand-finished design touches. The seats will receive semi-aniline leather upholstery with top-notch features like massaging, heating and power reclining. Cadillac is also reported to make significant improvements on noise suppression as the doors will use triple-sealed inserts and acoustic glass.
Cadillac CUE infotainment system will undergo revisions and sync with 16-speaker BOSE Centerpoint surround sound system. The driver’s information console will receive heavy updates including strategic LED lighting and turn-by-turn navigation (with voice commands).
This upcoming Cadillac Escalade is suspected to come with an array of safety features including Pulse Safety Alert Seats, Keyless Entry and Start, Surround Vision Camera, IntelliBeam Headlights, Lane Change Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Forward Collision Alert.
Pricing and Release Date
2018 Cadillac Escalade will not go easy on budgets as it is expected to come with a starting price of $74,000 or more. The company might have plans to schedule the launch date during the 4th quarters of this year.
