2018 Chevrolet Suburban RST and 2018 Tahoe RST

The RST or Rally Street Truck package does not include absolutely no improvements, or additional systems in the interior of the vehicle. First of all, mechanical tweaks and some exterior changes. In addition to the Tahoe model, Chevrolet also offered a Suburban SUV with this package. 2018 Chevrolet Suburban RST and 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe RST are models equipped with this package. The LT and Premier trim levels are the only ones that are offered with RST badge.

2018 Chevrolet Suburban RST Specs

2018 Chevrolet Suburban RST with Tahoe RST is now offering a bunch of powerful, fast and efficient models from the GM collection. What General Motors incorporated into RST-designs speaks in favor of the new specification. The standard engine and the Suburban and Tahoe SUV is a 5.3-liter V-8 that generates 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. With the 2018 Chevrolet Suburban RST, the powertrain is 6.2-liter V-8, which brings horsepower to 420 with 460 lb-ft of torque. The new drive unit is combined with a new 10-speed automatic transmission. This new transmission debuted on the ZL1 Camaro. This transmission is customized for the large SUV.

The RST package of equipment is significantly different from the classic trim with SPORT badge. All that has been chrome-plated up to now, the 2018 Chevy Suburban RST will be in body color. Certain parts of the vehicle are in black, which gives a special effect. These are grille, running board, mirror caps, exhaust tips, roof rails, pillars, and window trim. These elements are also available in 2018 Suburban RST and 2018 Tahoe RST black. In addition to this change, the RST package includes both the Bridgestone P285/45R22 tires, 22-inch wheels.

The Borla performance exhaust system is another feature that is part of the RST trim. Brembo six-piston, larger Duralife rotors and fixed-aluminum calipers are part of the standard package of equipment, but are also available here. Overall, the new Suburban RST model provides 28 percent improvement in exhaust flow and 7- to 10-horsepower gain.

Both Suburban and Tahoe models with RST tags are produced in Arlington, Texas. The demand of this special edition exceeded the demand and sale of standard models at the very beginning.
