Honda is all set to release its all-new 2018 Honda Crosstour which is expected to a mix of a hybrid and a premium coupe. Originally released in 2009, Honda has ever since failed to drive more customers with the existing Crosstour, hence the complete makeover. Based on the Honda Accord inspired design, Honda intends to resume its production with the new makeover.
Primarily due to lesser sale, the Honda Crosstour went out of production in 2015. With the new 2018 Honda Crosstour, the Japanese auto giant hopes to make a gentle comeback with anew design, better engines and a better fuel economy than its rivals.
The new 2018 Honda Crosstour is expected to be released with relatively smaller economic engines. Both FWD and AWD versions will be available. VTEC inline 2.4 liters four cylinder engine will be installed in the base model, according to rumors. This will produce about 192 HP and 161 lb-ft of torque. This is to be mated with a 5-speed auto transmission.
Another engine variant with a 3.5 liters inline six engine is expected. That will produce about 278 HP and 252 lb-ft of torque. A 6-speed auto transmission will be fitted to this variant. The cylinder locking mode introduced by Honda will attempt to increase fuel economy. Honda is also rumored to make V6 engines and hybrid engines for the new Honda Crosstour 2018.
The 2.4 liters engine is expected to provide a fuel mileage of 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. The 3.5 liters version is rumored to provide a 20 mpg around the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
2018 Honda Crosstour Design
Spy shots taken from various sources confirm that Honda has decided to change the way how the Crossover looks completely. It’s designed to make it more durable and comfortable and perform well. This five-door SUV will come with a brand new concept inspired bumpers and grilles.
The new model of 2018 Honda Crosstour is expected to arrive with a refreshing new look and brand new design. Design is likely inspired from concept cars belonging to Honda and Acura. Massive air vents will be provided on front bumpers to improve aerodynamics. Body of this new model will have sharp features and huge 18-inch wheels. The new model will be available in various hue options which include Alabaster, White-Diamond Pearl and Crystal-black Pearl.
A completely new cabin will be installed in this new Crosstour. Collapsible back seats have a 60/40 ratio with full cowhide leather seats. Passengers will also be presented with a host of entertainment options which includes new Infotainment interactive systems together with smartphone connectivity.
Rear view sensor coupled with a camera will make it easier to park the new Honda Crosstour 2018. Other options available are:

Pricing and Release Date
This 2018 Honda Crosstour is expected to take on Acura TSX Sports and Toyota Venza. Price for the base model is expected to be around $28,000 and is rumored to be released towards the end of 2017.
