With its official unveiling at the Los Angeles Motor Show, Jeep is finally ready to launch its 2018 Jeep Compass to substitute its elder sibling as well as the Patriot. On the other hand expect Jeep to provide a 1.4 liter and 2.0-liter turbocharged 4.0 cylinder engines for some markets. While 1.4 liter opts to be manual, 2.0-liter engines shall be both manual and automatic transmissions.
AWD will have 2 variants of 6-speed manual and 9-speed automatic while FWD will come with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic variants.
With an acceleration of 0-60 mph in 9.5 seconds, this SUV clocks a top speed of 112 mph. It gives an EPA rating of 20 mpg in cities and 26 mpg on highways. Towing capacity is kept constant at 2000 lbs.

Compass sports a polished black painted roof, standard halogen fog lamps coupled with 2 pairs of head lights.
A 4-door SUV by nature, Jeep Compass 2018 is fitted with 16-inch, 17-inch or 18-inch aluminum wheels as per option. Its AWD system claims to send 100% torque to the desired wheel using brake force vectoring which aids this SUV limited traction situations. To aid its off-road capabilities Jeep fitted 2018 Compass with a Chapman rear and MacPhersons strut front suspension articulating its wheels up to 200 mm.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles provides latest techs to its interiors and 2018 Jeep Compass includes Android Smartphone integration, Apple CarPlay with an infotainment system varying from 5-8 inches. Other features include Power driver Seats, Heated Front Seats, Automatic Weather Control, Radio and Leather Strapped steering wheel. Power sunroof comes as optional.
With Electronic Roll Mitigation, Hill Start Assist and Advanced Multistage Airbags Jeep ensure premium security to its passengers. Adding to this are Electronic Stability Control, Speed control and Anti-theft Detection System which come as standard. While Park-View rear backup camera, Lane Departure Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert has been kept optional. Only time will tell if 2018 Jeep Compass lives up to its expectations.
