2018 Lexus RX 350 L is the new 7-Seat SUV


Originally released as Toyota Harrier in 1997 in Japan, Lexus RX was named so for its export version. Various models of this mid-sized crossover exist – RX 300, RX 330, RX 350, RX 270, RX 400h and RX 450h. However, Toyota has decided to come up with a new version of the popular RX 350 for 2018, and that is why 2018 Lexus RX 350 L is the new 7-Seat SUV. Called 2018 Lexus RX 350 L, this new vehicle is being sold as both five seat and seven seat models, but it is mainly its seven-seat three-row version that is being readied to go head on with Infiniti QX60, Acura RDX and Volvo XC90.

Powertrain

Under its hood, 2018 Lexus RX 350 L will have a 3.5-liter V6 engine. Now this engine is the standard powertrain of its current model and also its five-seat version. It helps the vehicle achieve a power of 295 HP and a torque of 268 lb-ft.

A second choice will reportedly be available, which is a hybrid version, with a combo of a V6 and a 123 kW electric motor that will churn out over 300 HP but will have a lower torque of 247 lb-ft. This vehicle will be available in standard front-wheel drive while all-wheel drive will also be an option.

Fuel economy of RX 350 L will be 20 mpg in cities and 27 mpg on the highway for all-wheel drive platform. The front-wheel drive version may not be too far away, making it very fuel efficient. So one can see why 2018 Lexus RX 350 L is the new 7-Seat SUV.

Design and features from its 2017 model will be the base for Lexus RX 350 L and that means the signature spindle grille on the front is supposed to stay. New energy-efficient daytime running LED headlights will feature lamps with a triple-L design.

Expect an addition or two in choices of colors. Bumpers on front and rear could be changed for the sport version of the SUV. The length will obviously be more since the seven-seat means it will have an extra row with a bit more space. 18-inch alloy wheels will be the standard choice with a 20-inch option also being provided.

Other changes in interiors are also expected. For example, buttons on the dashboard have been reduced, which means that the touch screen will let you do a lot when it comes to controls. Expected price and arrival

The 2018 Lexus RX 350 L is supposed to be out by September of 2017 according to some reports, and the pricing will be done in such a way that it remains very competitive in the market. The base model is supposed to be available at $44,300 but with the extra row and the seven seat, expect that to rise to $50,000.
