This Japanese power head is likely to receive a 3-liter engine. Still quite early to decide, it is speculated to produce around 335 hp as a turbocharged diesel engine, but torque figures still remain unknown. As of now, a hybrid model is also rumored which can go for 20 miles on a single full charge and will produce 430 hp of power. This Montero with a 6-cylinder under its hood will have a combined fuel economy of 35 mpg while EPA rating from the electric motor alone will be 25 mpg.
From outside Mitsubishi has based its Montero on the GC-PHEV concept and is likely to trim down its design a bit. The rugged appearance is sure to remain giving this 4×4 a meaner look. This Japanese automaker claims of a much lighter vehicle owing to the use carbon fiber and aluminum in its manufacturing.
In addition to this, it will sport broader front and rear all black bumpers which will include fog lamps as standard. It is proposed to boast of a prominent front grille with horizontal slaps which has remained since unveiling its concept. Montero 2018 is likely to have large 21-inch wheels coupled with all weather, all-seasontires.

The interiors are like to possess an all-black leather finish. An alternate option of chair heating to keep its passengers comfortable in all weather conditions. Top quality wood is likely to be used to produce the dashboard which is supposed to have a premium finish.
