When talking about Nissan and luxury together, it reminds automobile enthusiasts – The Murano. With almost an experience of 15 years in the world market, this crossover has been three eras. The fourth generation is likely to hit global markets very soon and will be called the 2018 Nissan Murano.
The 4th generation will be based on Nissan’s Resonance concept, a car that was unveiled at the New York Auto Show in 2014. Although it is more than five years old, this concept is still a lot ahead of its time. Notable features will include its dual xenon headlamps that get a title appearance. This is complimented by a unique grille design which with Nissan’s logo placed at the center. A pair of led fog lamps adorns the frontal bumpers as well.
2018 Nissan Murano looks buffed up and muscular with its large wheel arches and sharp body decals. The sliding roof design gets a couple of parallel roof rails which is complemented by inverted L-shaped led tail lamp design that stretches through the tailgate.
While the company provides standard 18-inch wheels at both ends, the bigger wheel arches are justified by the 20-inch aluminum wheels which come as optional.
Although its engine variant is still under speculations sources, claim that Murano will be gifted with 3.5 L V6 engine. Power figures will rise to 260 HP while torque values will stand near 280 lb-ft. This V6 enables the crossover to leap from 0-60 mph in 7.5 seconds and quarter mile comes in 15.5 seconds. EPA ratings stand at 21 mpg in cities and 28 mpg on highways.

2018 Nissan Murano will be a symbol of luxury. From an 8-inch infotainment system to a 13 speaker surround sound system, it will include everything. Sirius XM Satellite Radio has been provided which comes coupled with Bluetooth, Android Auto, and Apple Car Play. Hand stitched Nappa leather will cover the seats which will be heated as well. Other than this, its 8-inch screen will provide voice recognition support, stock information, fuel prices and sports scenes. Other notable features include Nissan Intelligent Key ignition and moving object detector (MOD).
Safety has been primarily guaranteed with all around air bags in Nissan Murano 2018. In addition to this, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Emergency Braking and Driver Attention Alert has been provided to ensure safety on the highways. On the other hand driving within city premises is safe with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Monitoring System.
Price and Release Date
Pricing of the 2018 Nissan Murano varies depending on its trims. While S and SV get a price tag of around $34,000, SL and Platinum variants are likely to hit dealerships at around $38,000 and $42,000 respectively. When it gets released by the fall of 2017 or early 2018, new Murano 2018 will have to be ready to face tough competition from Jeep’s Grand Cherokee and Chevrolet’s Equinox.
