Known as the bold SUV, this Japanese automaker is ready to set its foot in the heavy SUV segment with 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. A 4×4 by all means, it is likely to have front wheel drive as well as all wheel drive options. With that masculine body, people are sure to skip a beat for this large SUV. It is likely to be launched in four variants namely S, SV, SL and Platinum.
Looks that Matter
If the 2018 Nissan Pathfinder follows the same footprints of its elder brother, expect it have similar specifications. A 5-door car with LED headlights as standard this time, with daytime running lights and roof rails give it an outlook. The higher wide chrome grille with logo in the middle works as trademark coupled with a tailgate and bumper highlighting.
Expect muscular wheel arches fitted with alloy wheels of standard 20-inch diameter with P235/65TR 18 tires at the front and rear. It will have a wheelbase of 114.2 inches, and ground clearance of 7 inches.

The SUV is speculated to have a 3.5 liter 24 valve V8 engine producing 284 HP and 259 lb-ft of torque. A more powerful V8 engine and churning out 300 HP of torque is expected as well. With a towing capacity of 6000 lbs, it is expected to send power to its wheels using a 2-speed CVT transmission.
Although people desire a hybrid model, the speculation has neither been confirmed nor accepted by Nissan. Pathfinder SUV is expected to have an EPA rating of 27 mpg on highways and 20 mpg in cities.
Competition, Price and Release Date
Expect the Nissan Pathfinder 2018 to compete with Mazda CX-9, GMC- Acadia, Honda Pilot, Ford Explorer and Toyota Highlander. It is expected to release by March 2018 and should be priced at around $30,000 to $40,000.
