Not so long ago, this year, Porsche introduced the third generation of its larger Cayenne SUV. The news of the arrival of the new generation model was not surprising. More precisely, for a long time, a lot has been written about it. All in all, a lot more was known, on the new model. However, the company also presented the 2018 Porsche Cayenne Turbo model at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. While the first presentation shows two versions of the V6 model, the Turbo version comes with a powerful V8 engine.
The design of this model differs from the standard version of the model. In comparison to the standard version, the 2018 Cayenne Turbo has a stretched front end of the vehicle. There are also LED headlights as an integral part of the Dynamic Light system. Also, this version is also equipped with fenders, compared to standard Cayenne, and there are 21 “alloy wheels, specially designed exhaust pipes, as well as sports interior.
The interior is dominated by sports seats with integrated headrests. Also, there is a multifunctional sports steering wheel with heating, Bose sound system of 710 watts, as well as adaptive air suspension. This type of support has six levels of height adjustment. As an option, the steering wheel and rear wheels, Dynamic Chassis Control system and Torque Vectoring Plus are also offered.
The 2018 Porsche Cayenne Turbo ‘hides’ a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, under the hood. This engine delivers 550 horsepower with 770 Nm of torque. This engine comes in combination with the new 8-speed Tiptronic S transmission. With this powertrain, the new model is ‘stronger’ than its predecessor for 30 horsepower and 20 Nm of torque. From standstill to 100 km/h, they reach 4.1 seconds, with a maximum speed of 286 km/h. The version with the Sport Chrono package of equipment, reaching ‘hundreds’ in 3.9 seconds.
In its standard edition, the 2018 Porsche Cayenne comes with a 3.0-liter V6 turbo unit, with 340 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. In this release, the vehicle reaches 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds, with a top speed of 245 km/h. For the 2018 Cayenne S, a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine with 440 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque is designed. Its acceleration to the ‘hundredth’ takes 5.2 seconds with a top speed of 265 km/h.

For this, the most powerful, version of the new Cayenne SUV, it should be worth about € 139,000. Such a price is on the market of Germany. According to official announcements, the 2018 Porsche Cayenne Turbo will reach its first customers at the end of 2017.
