The 2018 Subaru Crosstrek is the smallest of Subaru’s latest crossovers. It will, however, cost more than models like Outback and Forester. Based on the 2017 Subaru Impreza hatchback, the latest version of Crosstrek will take on the likes of Mazda CX-3, Honda CR-V and Nissan Juke. Subaru XV Crosstrek has a production cycle of 5 years. Popularly known as the XV in Europe, the model debuted in 2013.

2018 Subaru XV Crosstrek design has its base on Impreza Outback Sport 1996. Changes include raised suspension for better comfort , angular windshield , sloping roof that is flatter at the front. There are also rugged exterior for a true off-road experience with a lower roof as compared to earlier version. New Crosstrek has reshaped headlamps and sleeker design for better aerodynamics. Plastic claddings on arch above wheels and parts of bumper. On this model side mirrors are mounted on the doors and not the A-pillars. 9.5 inches of expected ground clearance puts it on par with other models in the class. Cabin space of Subaru XV Crosstrek 2018 has been kept at an impressive 55.3 cubic feet. Heavy duty off-road enthusiasts will love the ample boot space provided.
Push-button start and keyless entry systems are add-ons. Leather wrapped steering wheels are also a possibility. A 6.5-inch touchscreen will lead the infotainment section of the 2018 Subaru XV Crosstrek. Bluetooth, Android Auto and Apple Carplay will be a boost to navigation and sound systems. Heart of the infotainment service in the SUV will be the trademark StarLink Aha infotainment. The map services will also use traffic information from TomTom. 2018 Subaru Crosstrek will feature Subaru’s signature 2-litre DOHC boxer engine providing 152 HP and 145 lb-ft combinations. Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) will be an option in the 5-speed transmission AWD system. Also on offer is a top speed of 120 mph taking just over 9 seconds for revving from 0 to 60 mph. The fuel efficiency of Subaru XV Crosstrek 2018 is likely to be rated at 28 mpg in city and 30 mpg on highways. Designers at Subaru are hinting to add advanced powertrain to the existing engines somewhere around 2020. So drivers can expect electrified hybrid variants of XV Crosstrek in the near future.
Subaru has incorporated a wide range of driver controls to the new XV Crosstrek. EyeSight driver assist system with automatic high beams. This is a signature technology used in Subaru vehicles, like Adaptive cruise control and Automatic pre-collision braking. Launch and pricing
2018 Subaru XV Crosstrek will be rolling out of its only facility in the Lafayette, Indiana and should be available by early 2018. Base price is predicted to be around $22,000. 2018 Crosstrek US-spec will make its debut in April at New York Auto Show 2017.
