It looks like Geneva Motor Show will once again be a place for the presentation of Santa Fe’s biggest novelties. To remind you, the new generation had its premiere earlier this year, at Europe’s most famous car show. Next March will also bring novelties. Our friends from 2020 New SUV blog are certain that this mid-size crossover will be the next one to receive an “N” badge, which Korean manufacturer uses for hi-performance version. At this point, there are two models that use this designation. Those are i30 and Veloster.
2020 Hyundai Santa Fe N Design
The new generation came with significant improvements and the new 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe N should make things even better. The recent overhaul has brought a completely new design language, characterized by super-narrow headlights and massive bumpers with huge air intakes and fog lights. The new version will bring even more attractive look. Of course, we can count on lots of upgrades that will emphasize crossover’s sporty character. The first thing that comes to our minds in a new suspension setup, with lower ground clearance, bigger wheels with a new pattern etc. Of course, expect to see a new body kit, with sportier bumpers, new grille etc. Also, expect the same approach in terms of exterior colors, with those red accents on bumpers, machine-finished wheels.
2020 Hyundai Santa Fe N Interior
A couple of upgrades are expected on the inside as well. At this point, we can’t say anything more precise but can presume all those upgrades we can see in the Veloster N. This includes things like sports seats, steering wheels, gear indicator, upgraded instrument cluster and center stack, new trim, premium audio system, and much more upgrades. Still, the overall layout will remain unchanged, which means the same comfortable cabin, but with a little tight cargo area.
2020 Hyundai Santa Fe N Engine
Judging on the latest reports, the 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe N will feature the same engine as i30 and Veloster N models. It is a super-efficient 2.0-liter turbo inline-four engine that delivers around 275 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Considering its performance character, a manual transmission seems like a certain thing. Such a combination should provide pretty strong acceleration numbers. However, this still won’t be the most powerful Santa Fe in the offer. In North America, there is a three-row version called Santa Fe XL, which comes with a large 3.3-liter V6 engine, which is good for about 290 horsepower.
2020 Hyundai Santa Fe N Release Date and Price
Despite numerous reports about the new 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe N, this performance crossover still waits for the official confirmation. We hope the new model will be ready for the 2019 Geneva Motor Show. In terms of the price, it is still hard to predict some more precise figures. Some rough estimation would go around 35.000 dollars.
